Prior to joining GSA, Niccolo gained experience in academic and policy research (he co-founded a think tank on European foreign policy in the MENA region), in the private sector (Unicredit Bank and Energy Intelligence) and in economic development organisations (Grameen Bank).
Niccolo has conducted empirical and theoretical research in macroeconomics, political economy and financial regulation. His previous research focuses on banking regulation in emerging markets.
Niccolo graduated from SciencesPo Paris in international economic policy and from Bocconi University in economic and social sciences.
